Alex Beringer works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Montevallo where he has taught since 2013. Prior to this he was a lectuuer at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He is a short term visiting fellow to the Conspiracy and Democracy project during Michaelmas Term 2014. During his visit he will give a public talk onm "Paranoid Masculinities: Conspiracy Theory in Mark Twain's Fiction".
