Abstract

In this session, we will explore the Network’s interdisciplinary and transnational core themes, and begin to explore the provocations that will be engaged throughout the academic year: how legacies of violence are inscribed into urban space or elided, how urban violence disrupts temporalities of 'before' and 'after' war, and how mobility, belonging and becoming are sites of uncertainty and possibility in cities in the aftermath of urban war.
